COMPUTER:
Definition: "A computer is an electronic machine that can be programmed to carry out the sequence of arithmetic and logical operations. It manipulates data and information. it has the ability to retrieves ,stores and process data."
ANALOG COMPUTER :
Definition : " A computer that uses continuous signal to process data is called analog computer
Speed : Speed of analog computers is less than digital computers.
Memory : Analog computers have low and limited memory and can store less amount of data.
State : Analog computers has no state.
Reliability : Analog computers are less reliable than digital computers.
Performance : Its performance is comparatively low.
Efficiency : The efficiency of the computer increases if it get the results in the form of graph.
Dependence : Analog computers depend upon physical variations.
Accuracy : It provide result with less accuracy as compared to digital computers.
Usage : Analog computer is difficult to use. it is used in the fields of technology, science research and education.
Readability : Readability of the analog computer is low.
Power consumption: Power consumption of analog computer is high.
Advantage: They show the results in a simple or a graphical way within a short time.
Disadvantage : It is more expensive than digital computer that is why are out of the use of common people.
Example : It includes analog clock and thermometer.

Speed : Speed of digital computer is more than analog computers.
Memory : Digital computers have very big memory and it can store large amount of data.
State : Digital computers has on and off these two steps.
Reliability: Digital computers are more reliable than analog computers.
Performance : The performance of digital computer is very high.
Efficiency : The efficiency of the digital computers increases if it gets the results in the form of binary.
Dependence : Digital computer does not depend upon physical variation.
Accuracy : It provides result with higher accuracy as compared to analog computers.
Usage : Digital computers are not difficult to use.
Readability : Readability of the digital computer is high.
Power consumption: Power consumption in digital computers is low.
Advantage : Information can easily stored in digital computers and many features and units can often be added.
Disadvantage : Digital computers consumes more energy and are less expensive as compared to analog computers.
Example: Digital laptop, digital camera ,digital watches.
